This charming demitasse and saucer set by Royal Copenhagen captures the anticipation of "Waiting for Christmas" in its lovingly-decorated blue and white depiction of a young girl waiting by the window, standing on a stool, Teddy Bear at her feet.
This Danish set is in excellent vintage condition. Retired in 1982, it's made of porcelain, and its bold blue and white design is placed on bicuit porcelain and afterwards, the color is locked in with the glazing and firing. The 5.5" saucer has a delicately raised pattern around the rim, and the 2.5" tall cup has an unusually-shaped handle. What a sweet present this would make for your favorite porcelain collector.
